anne's next year preview:
i'm going to dalhousie university in halifax next year for their graduate program in social anthropology. i've received some scholarship money from the school and will TA as well (this amounts to about $10 000 for my one-year program, which isn't bad at all, and should mostly cover tuition/fees). i'm living with a friend who i've worked with at naramata, and we have a lovely house to live in (close to campus, spacious and bright, with laundry facilities, front and back porch, and parking). i'll be working at naramata again this summer, and then i'll road trip across canada to the east coast at the beginning of september.
fraser will be in sackville, NB this summer doing a research project (he received a grant for it) on an all-female town council in new brunswick. so after he leaves france at the end of may, i won't see him till september, but then we'll only be living a couple hours apart, which seems like too much after this year of living in the same city, but is certainly better than the distance between lethbridge and sackville (probably a million km) that we dealt with before.
