well that sucked. just wrote a message and then it got deleted. shit.
anyway we are in peru at a bus station, waiting for a bus to arequipa.
yesterday we were in san pedro de atacama, east of antofagasta in the chilean desert. it is a very cute dusty town with adobe houses and little restaurants and hostels. people were very nice to us there. we visited the valley de la muerte, and the valley de la luna, and at the latter we hiked up to a ridge and waited there for the sunset, which was freaken spectacular, and probably the best sunset we´ve ever seen. the landscape was so surreal...also like nothing i´ve seen before.
anyhoo now we´re just killing time...dreaming of a cute cheap safe hostel where we can collapse and drink coffee and eat real food. tired of buses and bus terminals. we´re looking forward to a couple days in arequipa, and then a longer stay in cusco and our trek to macchu picchu.
that´s all i can muster.

On our figure skate chat dates can we also go over maps and talk about your trip? And maybe drink some Okanogan wine?
