stuck.

arequipa is a great city, but we´re ready to move on. were supposed to be in cuzco today, but there was a strike and strikers blocked the roads and buses can´t get to puno or cuzco. we´ll try again tonight...the bus people say that the strike should be over. hopefully!! but for now we´re stuck in arequipa, floating from internet cafes to food places. we went out for crepes yesterday and the day before. freakin delicious. pizza and beer for tonight. we had a solid breakfast at a cafe that benefits orphaned street children today. it was cute and breakfast for both of us (giant bowl of fruit, muesli, honey...yogurt, fresh juice and coffee)was S.18, or about $7. loving the cheap food and cheap everything. also our hostel last night cost us about the same. i don´t think i´ll be able to go out in canada again ($8 beer? that´s an entire meal for two here!)
we´re getting good at finding cheap hostels and stealing toilet paper. hopefully those two skills won´t be necessary today and we´ll be on a bus heading to cuzco.
alrighty. hopefully i´ll post from cuzco (cusco? it´s always spelled differently) next.
best.
